SUMMIT is a high-end observational deck and an immersive, multi-sensory art and light experience spanning the top three floors of One Vanderbilt. Since its exciting debut in October 2021, it has quickly become a must-visit attraction in New York City.

A year after its launch, SUMMIT aimed to transition from the introductory phase to becoming THE premier tourist destination in New York City.

The team at SUMMIT wanted to enhance the website to ensure better accessibility and a more elegant experience, with a special focus on improving wayfinding. The outcome is a captivating and interactive site that takes users on a seamless journey, mirroring the in-person experience.

Experience

The Experience page transforms into a narrative; you unwrap the SUMMIT journey as you scroll. Vivid images dominate the screen, immersing you in the story.

Visit Us

The Visit Us page required more than merely listing information to differentiate it from the Experience page. It should serve as a straightforward guide, helping visitors understand how to navigate before their arrival.

And what better method for people to learn than through a highly visual, interactive experience?

Floor-by-floor video walkthrough

One of SUMMIT's most significant challenges was getting people to the proper entrances. This approach involved implementing a straightforward animation to effectively direct users along the correct pathway.
